Mineyard Reuse

I think it was a fantastic idea to use the same building for the new Whole Food Store. The quote in the article made it more admirable. ("That's great. It is the green solution, an adaptive reuse.") The way the world is going other companies should be more environmentally conscious. I think it is funny how you brought up the use of the words "climate change" in lieu of global warming. Even big corporations are invoking the phrasing and idea.

Flog Project

I think this is going to be a great project to do. I personally want to be part of the past blog team. I think it'll be fun to research where blogs/flogs have come from. I have done some research already and found out the orgin and the number of blogs that web started out with. http://www.rebeccablood.net/essays/weblog_history.html is where I got some of my information. Hopefully when we break into to groups this can prove to be valuable information for the group.

Exxon

I thought the YouTube film was very funny and sad. Funny because the spokesperson for Exxon was arrogant and obviously a liar. The fact that he made promises on topics he couldn't controll seemed unethical to me. If I were in his position I would have made less promising statements and more comforting statements. Like we care about your families and their well-beings. Not "We're gonna make you whole again," how the hell can you promise to make someone whole again. It seemed ridiculous, he kept saying you put together a list of stuff that might affect (effect?) you in the long run. If it's in the long run how can you tell how you'll be affected now? Just seemed crazy and bad PR practicing to me.
